PAWANA LAKE : CYCLO-CAMPING

A circuitous cycling route of arround 70 km involving some off roading around the Pawana Lake in Pune District. We would also encounter a multitude of challenges, making this is a memorable trip for all those who are young at heart. This is not a race against time. It is short distance to be covered in reasonably comfortable time so that you enjoy the nature and surroundings. We will set up our camp on the banks of Hadshi Dam to the south of Tikona Fort. Watching the stars sleeping in tents is an experience you will cherish

 

Day 01:  Lonavala to Hadshi Dam - Approx 45 kms

We reach Lonavala as early as possibe and start our cycling from Lonavala. We start cycling towards Pawana Dam via Dudhiware Khind. We will take the bifurcation towards left and proceed to Lohagad.  Parking our cycles at the base of Lohagad we go up for a quick visit of lohagad.  After the vist we further ride on to Kale Colony. We cross over Peth Tikona and get down the other side to Hadshi Dam.

Day 02: Hadshi to Lonavala via INS Shivaji - Approx 50 kms

We have an early breakfast and leave Hadshi and ride further keeping the lake to our right.  We start cycling towards Ghosalkhamb and further on  to INS Shivaji to reach Lonavala. The tour concludes at Lonavala. The circuit is complete!! (B)

 

We start cycling towards INS Shivaji and get down towards Amby Valley and reach Ghusalkhamb. At this point we take a left at ghusalkhamb and start circuiting the lake. Further riding towards Hadshi Dam we reach our campsite for our night stay. Pitching your own tents and barbeque at the camp site adds to the fun

COST PER PERSON (Ex Lonavala to Lonavala):

  • INR 1,950/- (With Support Vehicle & Escort) (Minimum of 8 paxs) 

 

COST INCLUDES:

1. Accommodation: 

  • In tents at a suitable campsite

2. Food:

  • As per itinerary. (B,L,T,D) on Day-1 and (B) on Day-2 (B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, T= Tea, D = Dinner)

3. A trained guide on cycle along the route along with necessary puncture kit etc. However each rider will have to carry one spare tube. Minor repairs such as replacing tube, changing Cables can be done.  

4. A support vehicle all along the route, which would take care of your luggage.

5. First Aid.

 

COST EXCLUDES:

  • Govt. service tax applicable at prevailing rates. (At present 3.5%).

  • Any expenses of personal nature such as hiring charges for cycle, mineral water, laundry, tips to driver or any other service personnel etc.

  • Any kind cost needed for spares to repair a cycle in case of break down.

  • Any kind of insurance, such as accident, theft, medical, evacuation etc.

  • Any additional expense caused due to any reason beyond control of ADD-VENTURE INDIA and its associates; like change in itinerary , road blockage, landslides, bad weather conditions, bridge breakage and any other natural calamity or incidence like strike, curfew etc. on which ADD-VENTURE INDIA and its associates do not have any control.

  • Items not specified in the above in ‘Cost Includes’.

  • Any expense incurred by us for any medical emergency / for evacuation for any reason, the expenses for the same would be borne by the concerned participant.

 

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Your luggage would be carried in the support vehicle.

  • If any minor repair work needs to be done (like punctured tyre etc.), we would do it free of cost; but any major repair work and/or involving spare parts, would be charged at actual.

  • The distances mentioned in the above itinerary are to the best of our knowledge & information. Some minor variations would be expected.

  • Sometimes during the cycling tour we might have to serve either packed breakfast / lunch.

 

Cancellation:

  • Tour Cancellation charges are applicable on Actual Full Tour Price

  • Between 29 – 15 days 60% of the tour cost.

  • Between 14 – 09 days 75% of the tour cost.

  • Between 08 – 02 days 90% of the tour cost.

  • Day of tour departure of the tour 100%
