Panchachuli Base Camp - Glacier Trek (4260Mts.)

Nestling snugly in the lap of the snow capped peaks of Panchachuli, the Darma valley in Pithoragarh district is endowed with abundant scenic grandeur. 134kms from Pithoragarh and 35kms from Dharchula is the last bus terminal Sobla. From Sonla to Panchaculi Glacier is a 40kms trek. The route to the glacier abounds in exotic scenery, anowcapped mountains,, gushing streams, alpine meadows and a rich variety of flora and fauna. And from the glacier one can see the Panchachuli peaks in their towering Glory. Ensconced by the river Dhauli Ganga, Sobla is the entry point of the Darma valley.
One gets the majestic spectacle of Panchachuli that derives its name from the five peaks, named after the legendry Pandavas. The 5kms length and width of glacier projects out from this range of hill. A trek of about 4kms from village Duktu/ Dantu leads to the base of this glacier. The glacier is seen from Duktu/ Dantu villages as well as from the starting point of the Yuli River situated 4kms at the base of Panchachuli. The five peaks of Panchachuli creates the unforgettable specter of Himkhand. Yuli river skirted by the jungle of Deodar and Bhoj patra and vast meadows.
ITINERARY
DAY 1 :
Kathgodam to Dharchula (700 mt.) Drive 300 kms. Over night stay
Day 2:
Drive from Dharchula to Dugtu village (3260 mt.) Drive 60 kms.
Arrival at Dugtu village. Trek from Dugtu to Base Camp (3450 mt.) Trek 4 kms. Arrival at Base Camp. Over night stay.
Day 3 :
Visit Panchachuli Glacier / View Point (4260 mtr) & Back. Trek 12 kms
The view of the Panch Chulli (6904 mts./22652 ft) peaks from here is just magnificent. On the outskirts of Duktu is a huge meadow that provides a perfect setting for viewing the Panch Chulli glacier with the backdrop of the Panch Chulli peaks. Over night stay.
Day 4:
Trek from Base Camp to Tedang village (3600 mt.) Trek 07 kms
Visit the beautiful & traditional village of Tedang. Back in evening. Over night stay
Day 5:
Trek from Base Camp to Machadhar (3870 mt.) Trek 06 kms
Time free to explore around. Over night stay at Dugtu Village .
Day 6:
Trek back from Base Camp to Dugte village Trek 04 kms Drive from Dugtu village to Chaukori via Dharchula Drive 170 kms. Over night stay
Day 7:
Drive from Chaukori to Kathgodam. Drive 185 kms
Drop at kathgodam

Delhi - Kathgodam : Take RANIKHET EXP (15013) leaving Delhi (DLI) 22.05 on 28th May - reaching Kathgodam (KGM) at 05.05 on 29th May
Return Journey : We will be dropped at Kathgodam Station (KGM) on 4th June.
Kathgodam - Delhi: Take RANIKHET EXP (15014) leaving Kathgodam (KGM) 20:35 on 4th June - reaching Delhi (DLI) at 03:50 on 5th June 2022
